In Dead Space 2, the player follows protagonist Isaac Clark as he fights against a new alien outbreak after solving a similar problem in the first game. Despite the success of the first two games in the series, the less-than-stellar reception for Dead Space 3 makes it unlikely that the series will be revived again.

Having to poke a needle through the protagonist's eye is enough to make some players retch, and apparently it bothered the developers who had to make the scene just as much. Dead Space 2 is a pretty horrifying game all around, but there's one scene in particular that stands out from the rest as being especially gruesome.
